  Hands down the best Mediterranean restaurant. The selection is limited but excellent. Highlights:
  Fresh Felafels are absolutely delicious when they are cooked fresh.  I always ask how long they have been setting. I use spicy red sauce for condiment when eating felafels.
  For low carbs chicken shawarma is hard to beat. I used to go with Garlic sauce but lately I have been asking for green lemon herbs with making the toss it plate unbelievable.
  
  The Gyro is delicious but not gluten free.  The owners are gracious and always very helpful with questions.
  
  The bar next door is great for a beer or two to accompany your Mediterranean meal.
  
  Last week I rode my bike from Sand City to Marina on MPRT (Monterey Peninsula Regional trail) which is only 5 miles one way and stopped to get dinner. It was incredible and rewarding.

  This place is pretty good although it's not always consistent with the food quality. There's been a few times my pita bread was stale and old and a few time the lamb was dry almost like jerky.
  Jason one of the employees is always friendly and because of his customer service I dine here often.
  Prices aren't cheap and I usually spend about $50 to $65 USD
  Restaurant is always clean each time I have been there. Recommended if you like this type of food.

  This is like our go-to restaurant for healthy, fast, and delicious food.  Today (8/26/2019), on of the staff members checked on how we were doing and provided complimentary Baklava.
  
  This place is a nice little oasis!!!!

  I have been coming here ever since it opened and I have not grown tired of the food! The people behind the counter are always so friendly and always make sure that I am given great attention to.
  Today was an exceptionally amazing experience as another person behind the counter made my day by expertly making my lavash (tastes amazing btw) and said "I may not be able to make your day, but I will ensure you a well-rolled lavash", by him saying that made my day, and the kindness from the person cashing me out, create a guarantee return next time I am back in Monterey.

  I've eaten at Demetra's six times.  The food and the service are incredible.  My favorite is a lavash gyro.  The ambiance is great. The staff is really friendly and helpful.  Give it a try and I guarantee you will be happy.
